Outlook Favorites disappear after Mailbox migration from Exchange 2010 to 2016
Hi,
i'm in the middle of an migration in an environment with 2000 mailboxes.
The customer use a lot of PF. After the Mailbox move to the new Exchange DAG outlooks removes all favorites. Is there any solution for that?

Unable to input Arabic letters or words on Exchange Management Shell

I'm unable to write Arabic words on EMS because I need to export the Messages / e-mails by using Arabic Subject Line. If it is not possible, please advise alternative to to export the messages by using the Arabic Subject Line.

Group owner info does not sync with O365
We have a hybrid setup. New mail enabled security groups are created having managed by attribute updated with a user. The same user reflects as owner for the group in EAC but on Office365, it shows organization management as owner. Any idea, why the owner info is not syncing between on-prem to cloud.
All other attributes are fine. No sync error on AAD & O365.

MICROSOFT EXCHANGE SYSTEM TRAY RESET OUTLOOK PASSWORD POP-UP WARNINGS
over past several days I have received 5 MICROSOFT EXCHANGE OUTLOOK SYSTEM TRAY POP-UPS for each of my 5 exchange accounts, one by one, and then it starts all over again
warning me to renew my Microsoft Exchange password
which expires in "315334799" days (number which decreases by 1 each day)
the pop-up ends with a CLICK HERE TO RESET PASSWORD (which I have not clicked)
I have cleaned up my pc with Norton, CC Cleaner and Spybot, followed by rescue sessions with Microsoft and Norton.
So far, no solution.
Even new profile with just 1 exchange account brings up reset warning.
GoDaddy says there is no reason on earth to reset my passwords (which I have not yet tested)
Apparently problem is not a virus, but I would like it to stop.
The only thing which works thus far is to turn off SHOW MS EXCHANGES MESSAGES in system tray, but this is only a temp band-aid.
Lastly, I have 2 domains with GoDaddy, one with 5 Exchange accounts and one of 1 Exchange account. I get these warnings only (thus far) for the domain with 5 accounts, but never the other, which is kind of weird, as they are both with the same host, same server and both in same profile...
Ideas? Thanks!

My exchange server 2016 is installed on old hardware. I need to install a second exchange server based on new hardware and migrate the operations to this server and de-commission the old server. I will maintain the exchange server version to 2016.

There are several closed topics on technet specifying this ActiveSync eventlog issue after a clean Exchange 2013 / Exchange 2016 deployment. The application eventlog is displaying the warnings "The setting SupportedIPMTypes in the Web.Config file was missing. Using default value of System.Collections.Generic.List`1[System.String]." and "The setting LiveIdBasicAuthModule.ApplicationName in the Web.Config file was missing. Using default value of .".
Reference posts which are closed without a proper solution:
A solution was posted for the error LiveIdBasicAuthModule.ApplicationName , however not for the error "SupportedIPMTypes".
The solution is as follows:
1. Edit the \Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\ClientAccess\Sync\Web.config file and add the following lines under <appSettings>:

2. IISReset, and the events are not written to the eventlog anymore.

3. Beware that with every cumulative update, the web.config files could be overwritten so you would have to add it again.

Remote server not authorized 401.
Hello everyone,
I am trying to backup mailbox by commvault , but job went to pending in 5% , i checked the logs i found the following message
"Exchange auto discover for CAS server for administrator failed with error [The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized.]"
already assigned full permission for services account. this issue occurred suddenly earlier it was worked fine.
Also i checked commvualt docs and followed their guide , still same error when ran job again.

Calendar invite does not show correct email address
I run multiple email accounts and calendars on my labtop. All reside in Outlook, as part of my microsoft 365 office environment.
For unknown reasons my outlook calendar no longer allows me to select the correct email addresses to invite others to a calendar meeting. It no longer shows in the picklist. At the same time this email address is active as mail account in outlook.
I do not know how to repair this.
Where do I need to go in outlook to repair this?

Configuring Exchange 2019 ActiveSync & Outlook Anywhere with 2FA (Google Authenticator)
Hi guys
we had our Exchange 2019 server configured for OWA, ActiveSync and Outlook Anywhere with a NAT directly to the Exchange. For Security Reasons we have implemented now a NAT which is pointing to a Citrix Gatway in the DMZ. For OWA we have implemented Google Authenticator OTP as second factor, which is working quite nice.
I'm wondering if anybody is doing 2FA for ActiveSync and Outlook Anywhere.

Outlook Won't Open when one DB Server is unavailable
Hi All,
We have on premises Exchange 2016 and we currently have 3 database servers and 1 transport server. We seem to be having this strange problem lately where if one of those database servers is rebooting or unavailable for some reason then Outlook will not open. If you rebuild a users profile the issue seems to be resolved but it appears it can come back also. I am fairly new to managing Exchange so I've pretty much exhausted my knowledge at this point. One of our database servers is fairly new and the problem seemed to start around then. At first the DB wasn't fully configured and I thought that may be to blame because Outlook seemed to jump to connecting to it anyway even though there were no production databases on it yet, but now it's fully configured and we continue to have the same problem. I have looked at what logs I can regarding this but they don't seem to tell me anything useful. I have been able to do some testing without having to actually shut machines down and cause disruptions but manipulating the hosts file on a server that has Outlook installed. It appears that if I block access to either of the older DB servers but leave the new one accessible Outlook will launch fine. If I block the new server but leave the others open Outlook will not open with this message:"Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened. The attempt to log on to Microsoft Exchange has failed." I am just out of things to try or possible explanations at this point. Any help or insights into this would be much appreciated. I'd be happy to provide more details about our environment as necessary. Might be worth noting that most users at this point are using Outlook as part of Office 365.

Applications in Azure how connect to Microsoft Exchange on-premise
Dear All,
We are moving an application to Azure from on-premise which uses on-premise exchange 2019. The application will be moved as it is life and shift. Once the application is moved to Azure can you guide how the application will be authonicating back for exchange activity, We will have a local domain controller in Azure on VM
Any changes needed in Exchange on-premise server side?
Any change needed on the firewall side on both the ends (like SMTP)
Any changes needed in the application?

Outlook/Exchange The standard folder "Inbox" has been moved to standard folder "Deleted"
Good day, everyone!
I have a problem with moved standard folder Inbox to folder Deleted, and now all rules which apply to this folder doesn't work.
Now, all message incoming to this folder, moving into folder "Deleted" \ "Inbox" and they are in the users tree folders, these looks like how deleted.
I can't move the folder "Inbox" now to another folder.

Outlook 365 crash when click on Shared Mailbox Inbox
We are facing issue with one user while he select Shared mailbox Inbox in outlook his outlook keep crashing other all expect shared mailbox inbox folder other folders are accessible and working fine this issue is strange issue and tired below solution to fix it but no luck
Disable all add-ins
uninstall and reinstall outlook
try login on the different machine but issue exists
Shared Mailbox moved to different Mailbox Database
Remove delegation access and add in back
Outlook Version is Office 365 Application
Windows Version is Windows Enterprise 10
Exchange Server 2016 CU17
Please advise for to resolove this issue

Exchange 2016: removing the original of two servers
Hi There,
We recently had an Exchange 2016 server where the mailbox Database crashed and corrupted, we began evacuating the database and then the new database also corrupted....and then we tried again and the same happened again to the point where my boss decided the server was cursed and I've built a new one (also 2016) and evacuated all mailboxes to it.
It's nice and stable and all services are now moved over to the new Exchange.
Are there any gotchas I should watch out for when it comes to uninstalling Exchange from the old server before it gets removed from the domain and powered off?

why Exchange server receives emails with no recipient address?
Hello, we have some users that are receiving spam emails from Yahoo to the INBOX, but the strange is that those email does not have recipient address, I checked the email source code and there is "FROM:" address but not "TO:" address.
I also tried to reply to those email and does not appear " TO: "

Exchange 2010 hybrid issues with certificate and mailflow
Hello everyone,
I have on-premise Exchange 2010 which is a local mail server, only local users use to exchange emails locally does not have any MX records on public DNS. and other users have mailboxes on office365 which configured on outlook clients as pop3 email accounts so every user of those have 2 accounts on outlook and of course the doesn't receive any emails from on premise users.
I decided to merge the office365 accounts so i started with the ADD client syncing them with Azure AD and merged smoothly and the passwords have been changed to the local accounts passwords.
no i am trying to use HCW to merge mailboxes and i have 2 concerns.
1- Do i have to buy a public SSL cert to use it between on-premises Exchange server and office365 or the local one will do the job?
2- As the on-premises exchange 2010 does not send email outside LAN, will the office365 users be able to receive messages from on-premises users?
