Can we start to install the .NET Framework 3.5.1 updates from Windows after SP3 RU1 update

Back in December, we were made aware that the .NET 3.0 Framework had some issues with Exchange 2010:

My question is after we install/upgrade to SP3 RU1, can we start to install the .NET Framework updates that are pushed down by windows Update (what ever version of .NET Framework that is available).
