Hello Everyone, Just For Some Brief Context.
I am working with two Servers a Microsoft Exchange Server (2010) and a Active Directory Server (Domain Controller)
Namely EXCHSERVER01 and ADSERVER01 for simplicity purposes.
Recently my clients have been complaining that the outlook is saying the the certificate is expired or is not yet valid.
In this environment the Certificate authority is ADSERVER001 and Certificate in question is issued to EXCHSERVER01 by ADSERVER01 which has the AD CS installed along with IIS.
I done some research and found out how to generate a CSR (Certificate Signing Request) from the exchange server. what hace read thus far is that the Certificate Authority is supposed to user the SCR file Generated and the Give back a Certificate file which the exchange server will then use to complete the Pending CSR by installing The new certificate and making the follow p configuration such as assigning the services to the certificate. Am i missing something or have i misunderstood the situation? because i have yet to find and article where the CA Accepts the CSR File and then Produces a Certificate to be used. Please Help. I am just a pleb, a system admin level 1 who has never dealt with certificates before.
