Auto-collapse all e-mails in Inbox not saved (Outlook 2016)

One of our customers is experiencing issues within Outlook 2016. A user configures Outlook in a way that all of the e-mails in the Inbox are collapsed  using the filter options and sorted on Sender. By using Group By... and selecting the option "All collapsed" Outlook doesn't seem to remember this option.
When we close Outlook and restarting Outlook all of the email are all expanded again.

The user works with Outlook 2016 on a Windows 2012R2 Terminal Server. We tried using Outlook with both Online and Cached mode and selecting the option "download shared folders" but this doesn't help.


Could this be a bug of a specific update (KB)?

Any feedback would be appreciated.
