I'm not sure when this occurred, but it seems that developers cannot create subfolders as children of the root mailbox folder (NON_IPM_SUBTREE).
When i now open a mailbox, even my own, in O365 with MFCMAPI, the PR_RIGHTS on the root folder shows 'frightsReadAny' as the only right.
Is there way to open an O365 mailbox with full access to the root folder, or at least enough to create a folder there?
This is where a application developer would want to store configuration, cached info, or other app specific data without allowing a user to interfere.
This used to work as recent a year ago. Sometime in the past few months a change has been made that is really unacceptable.
Can someone from MS confirm or explain this change to the root folder?
