Emailing an Excel document changes the table references

I have an Excel document with a pivot table on one tab, and the data in another.  The data is in a table called "Table1."  When I email the document to a coworker, the pivot table source changes from "Table1" to something like "c:\folder\filename.xlsx Table1"  Does anyone know of a way to prevent this?
