I'm attempting to identify the true senders unique code &/or name (and ideally) email address where internal (Exchange) emails have been sent using SendAs.
I've used Dmitry's OutlookSpy and from what I can determine, PR_SENDER_EMAIL_ADDRESS_W on the mail in the originators Sent mail box does capture the "true" senders name, however, when the email is received by the "internal" recipient this would appear to have been changed to the SendAs name. The PR_SENDER_NAME_W in both the sent and received emails is as per the SendAs name.
I guess the above makes sense, in that the recipient see's email as per SendAs profile. That's the purpose of the thing.
However, from an tracking perspective/audit perspective it would have been good to have at least preserved something of the true originator, even if a code which could be used to id him/her.
Does anyone have any recommendations, perhaps used of a "custom" field, which could be used or preserved thr Exhange in order that it could be picked up by the internal recipient? Not sure if possible, or whehter this would be done in Outlook or could be an Exchange Addin (which would be a first for me)
Thanks
