Hello,
I have a single server install of Exchange 2013 enterprise edition for a brand new company through my MSEA with 325 licenses. The problem we're having is that we get a ton of Spam. I want to use connection filtering so I can eliminate it, but I'm finding old articles that say either A) I can't do connection filtering in a single server environment (which is NOWHERE in the documentation or sales info!) B) That I can do connection filtering if I tweak settings and force it (which I haven't tried, since we only have one server and I can't make production into a test environment) or C) The only way to do connection filtering is to install a copy of Exchange 2010 Edge server (which I don't have a license for, and I'm not sure why I was even sold 2013 if I have to buy 2010 to use it).
I'm needing some help because we're getting thousands of emails and our content filter isn't catching all the spam and fishing attempts which really puts my users in danger.
